La Lucia Mall prides itself in assisting various corporate social initiatives in the community in the following ways:

Exhibition Space

To enable organizations  to create awareness and raise much needed funds. Organisations which we have assisted in this way are:

 Animal Action
SPCA
CHOC
Greenpeace
Doctors without Borders

 Across all three fundraisers that Animal Action held at La Lucia Mall in May, June and July 2011 a total of  R11 440.00 was raised. This translates into 19 sterilizations which prevents literally hundreds of unwanted puppies).

Art Exhibitions

In association with The Art Givers, an amount of R13 014.00 was raised for the SPCA through an art exhibition held at the mall from 29 September to 10 October 2010. 

 Jess Foord Foundation

To coincide with Womens Day In August 2010 we ran a "give a helping hand-bag" promotion at La Lucia Mall where shoppers were encouraged to donate their unused handbags at the collection point outside Pick n Pay at La Lucia Mall between 2 - 12 August 2010.  Handbags & items donated were distributed to KwaZulu Natal Rape Crisis Centres by the Jess Foord Foundation. 
Every handbag donor recipient received a complimentary La Lucia Mall shopping bag in exchange for their kindness.

  The Sunflower Fund

La Lucia Mall was a sponsor for 5th Annual Mums Mail High Tea in September 2010.  The High Tea raised R78 664 which will pay for 78 potential donors to go on the South African Bone Marrow Registry which will directly give more hope to children and young adults diagnosed with leukaemia.
